How Should People Act at Raves?

You’re having fun looking through mens rave jerseys - it’s going to be your first time and you want to look good. But raves are more than just dancing and grooving to music. You should follow proper etiquette.

But what are the things that you should or should not do? Bear in mind that this applies to both men and women.

Keep An Open Mind

When people think of raves, they sometimes visualize a large group of people who are either drunk or on drugs. That is far from the case. Many of them are genuinely happy.

So don’t be going around judging people on how they look. The idea of the rave is to embrace the music and have fun while doing it. Being judgemental can be quite a buzzkill.

Be Polite

There are several ways that you can do this. One of them is to not cut in line.

Another is to say excuse me when you are moving through a crowd.

It doesn’t take much time or energy to be nice. When you do this, it also helps spread good vibes throughout the rave. Then that makes for an even better time.

Don’t Post Pictures of People Without Consent

People want to become famous by using social media. They constantly hope to post a viral video. But they shouldn’t do this at the expense of others.

One example of doing this would be to post a video of someone being stumbling drunk. First, it’s not cool to do this even if it is in public. Second, how would you like it if someone did that to you?

Share Items That Are Safe to Share

Think of this as one big party among music-loving friends. That means you can share things with them. You need to be safe though.

You can share things like gum that is individually wrapped.

Do not share drinks with each other - well, not unless you’re already dating.

Be germ conscious.

Don’t Block People With Your Totem

This is another part of being polite. Yes, it can be fun to have your totem with you, but you shouldn’t block other people’s views with it. It’s easy to stand far in the back or to just fold it up if you move up closer.

These are just a few of the things that you should or should not do at a rave. Just remember that it should be fun for everyone … including you.
