Been hearing of the crazy nipple deep Japow snow in Niseko, Japan? It doesn't snow this much anywhere in the world - shredding the powder here is a life changing experience. However, where to stay in Niseko Japan ski resort on your epic trip?
The team at Cheap Snow Gear have visited several times and have always stayed at Stoked Niseko Hostel. This lodge is by far the best Hirafu accommodation option in the area. Due to the killer central location, it means you can walk to everything including the slopes, the onsen's, the bars and the convenience stores.
The hostel creates more of a community than your average ski hostel, you can't help getting to know like minded people and meet riding buddies here at the well laid out lounge and kitchen with state of the art big screen smart tv. In fact, it is so relaxed, you can easily skip a day on the hill and chill out with the endless free cups of tea and hot chocolate! The vibe here is awesome and feels very cosy with original solid wooden style architecture and comfy couches.
The crew are often in and out, with energetic charisma, at first you probably think they are fellow snowboarding bunk mates, here on an adventure. However, these dudes know their stuff in Niseko, providing all the info you need on how to maximise your time in the area. We saw the staff take amazing care of guests countless times, giving people free rides up to get rental gear and lift passes etc. The lodge has live in full time managers, who provide excellent service.
Overall, we can't recommend Stoked Niseko Hostel enough, we keep our fingers crossed that the old school stoked vibe remains unchanged for years to come.
